Terms of Service
Personal Hub is your private space. You own your data. We protect it. You can leave anytime and take everything with you. These terms exist to clarify our relationship — not to trap you in one.
1. What Personal Hub is
Personal Hub is a personal context platform that helps you collect, organize, and control your personal data in one private, encrypted space. You decide what to store and which services get access to your context. Personal Hub is operated by Personal. Contact: hi@personalhub.io.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Your password is used to derive your encryption key. If you lose access to your password and have not saved your recovery phrase, your encrypted data may be unrecoverable. We recommend saving your recovery phrase when prompted. You must be at least 16 years old to use Personal Hub.
3. Your data, your ownership
You own your data. We do not claim ownership, license, or rights to your content beyond what is needed to provide the service. Export and delete are core features, not concessions — you can export and delete your data at any time.
4. What we provide
We provide encrypted storage for personal data, including profile information, purchase tracking, receipt import from multiple sources, custom data dimensions, and data export in multiple formats. The service is provided "as is". We use reasonable security measures, including client-side encryption, row-level security, and encrypted transmission. We encourage you to maintain your own backups via the export feature.
5. Gmail integration
Gmail integration is read-only and governed by our Privacy Policy. Our use of Gmail data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect Gmail at any time.
6. Acceptable use
Personal Hub is for personal use only. You agree not to store illegal content, attempt to access others' data, reverse-engineer or attack the encryption or security model, or harm or disrupt the infrastructure in any way.
7. Service changes and continuity
We may update or change features over time. If we ever shut down the service entirely, we will provide at least 90 days' notice and guarantee a way for you to export your data before shutdown.
8. Payment
Personal Hub offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier. The free tier includes basic features with usage limits. The Premium tier is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, with a 7-day free trial. You can cancel at any time. If you cancel, you retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. Your data remains accessible and exportable on any tier. Raw data export is always free, regardless of your subscription status. Prices may change with 30 days advance notice. Price changes do not apply retroactively to active subscription periods.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Personal Hub. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months or €100, whichever is higher. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or gross negligence where such limitation would be unlawful.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Oslo, Norway. If you are a consumer in the EEA, you also retain any mandatory consumer protections available under the laws of your country of residence.
11. Changes to terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you can delete your account and export your data before the changes apply.
